As you can see, there is no addition above the dining room. Once a year, the Italian's in town met the train on
High Street and collected grapes for their wine-making. My family used the barn for their operation. My dad, Frank, said you could tell (who) the Italian's (were) in school, (because) their arms were grape-stained! I have many memories of my own; enjoying great family times in this house! Look- the clothes-line is faintly visible in the photo! It was always there, I remember using it! To the left side of the barn was a little sheltered veranda and out back was the family garden and later a well used horse-shoe pit!" -Linda (Chiolino) Marshall |
